About Us

Lake Mary, Florida
Jake and I met in 2006 and got married in 2007. We lived in Kaysville for 2 years after we were married, but then moved to Lake Mary, FL (about 15 miles north of Orlando) so that Jake could go to law school at Barry University.

It has been quite a while since we have updated this at all. So to summarize, we have been living in Florida for 7 months now. We were able to go back to Utah for a month during Jake's Christmas break to visit our families and friends. For New Year's we were able to go up to Bear Lake and spend the night in Jayson's grandparent's condo. We had a blast while we were out there and miss everyone a ton!

Since we came back to Florida, Jake is back to school, I have started back to school, and I am back to work as normal. We also decided to make an addition to our little family. We bought a dachshund puppy (wiener dog) named Tigger. He is a stud! He has quite the personality. He is about 12 weeks old and is still potty training. We left him for the first time last night and he pretty much destroyed our bathroom. Apparently he doesn't like being alone so much.

The first picture is us at an Orlando Magic game. A guy from Jake's school was able to get us tickets pretty cheap. The next is of Elder Judd. He was the missionary that was first in our ward when we first got here and he just got transfered a few weeks ago. He has had 3 companions in the mean time and we have had him and his companion over for dinner a few times.

This it Tigger. Need I say more? He is quite a handful, seeing as neither Jake or I have ever had a dog. We are still working out how we are supposed to train him.

Well, I think that is about all the new and exciting things happening in our lives. We will definately try to get better at this blogging thing.

So this is how our trip started...Jake in the emergency room. We had plans to leave at about 7 in the morning but Jake woke up with a kidney stone at about 2. We didn't know what it was at the time so he tried to sleep it off. He was still in alot of pain in the morning so we took him to the emergency room. Six hours later and alot of pain killers and we were on our way to Florida!

The first night we got to somewhere in Nebraska...I don't know but it was raining alot. Just in case no one has ever been to Nebraska, this is what you are missing:) It is the most amazing scenery...ha ha. So after driving 7 hours the first day, 13 the next, 13 the day after that, 2 hours the last day, and 10 states later, we finally made it to Florida!

I really can't remember where we took this picture, I think it might have been in Kentucky...not really sure. The first couple days that we were down here, we started furnishing our apartment with the essentials, blow up mattress, futon, and thats about it:) For some reason, I acutally feel like Jake is a college student now.

Our other activities (when Jake isn't in school or studying) have included going and walking around Downtown Disneyworld, going to the beach, hanging out by the pool, and just enjoying the endless humidity Floida has to offer!

Hot Winter Nights!

So this is our first entry...look at us go:) For Valentines this year, we or I guess I, decided that we would be going to the Hot Winter Nights tour for the AVP. It was awesome. They turned the E-Center into a beach and had some of the world's top beach volleyball players come and play. There were 4 olympic athletes there, including our friend Jake Gibb. I call him our friend because, well, I have played ball with him, and he is a good friend of my uncle's, therefore he is our friend too:) Anyway, here's some pictures of the spectacular event, and maybe I will get better at this thing.

I know it is fuzzy, but this is us with Jake Gibb.
